IMPAIRMENT REACTION TESTER
Nobody should drive who is impaired in any way. Whatever the
reason for testing one important gauge of a person's road
readiness is their ability to react. This simple test provides
an easy way to measure a driver's raw reaction times. If you
score above .5 seconds you should seriously consider not driving.
When confronted with a sudden situation, how fast a driver can
react can often mean the difference between life and death.

BACK
WHY TRAFFIC BACKS UP AT STOPLIGHTS!
Not everything in Life can be avoided but a little knowledge
can go a far ways. Inevitably, anywhere there is a traffic light
there is a line of traffic busy waiting. The cars stack up behind
each other and when the light turns GREEN they creep forward. It is
how everyone creeps forward that is the problem. Everyone is doing
the same as the person in front of them. Monkey See, Monkey Do.
They start to accelerate but no sooner do they take off then they
are back on the brakes again. To overcome this natural tendency we
have to think ahead just a little and have a care about the people
in back of us who are waiting to go. Both are necessary but what
you is easy, simply realize what the person in front of you is going
to do and accelerate slowly, slower than him. Allow room to develop
for that brake tap that you know is coming. If everybody at a certain
traffic light, say GA HWY 316 and HWY 120, were to learn to do this
it would be an interesting example how thinking, even relatively
simple ideas, can solve seemingly impossible problems. Pass this along.
